Jundee Milling Capacity Upgrade

Following its successful feasibility study and capital cost estimates, Tetra Tech Proteus was further engaged to provide engineering, procurement and construction management services to upgrade Newmont Asia Pacific’s gold operations in Jundee, Western Australia.

The upgrade entailed dismantling, refurbishing and relocating Newmont’s Mill 2 plus ancillary equipment from Nimary and installing mill and equipment at the Jundee mine site.

As part of the mill upgrade, an additional ball mill provided far greater grinding capacity to deal with harder underground ore at the Jundee mine site.

Also upgraded were several site services such as water supply, oxygen plant, air-lift pump capacity and low-pressure air system.
